The Book of Empty Garages

  1. There are few silences heavier than an empty garage.
  2. The concrete remains. The tools are there. Yet something important is gone.
  3. Once there was motion here.
  4. Music from old radios, the click of ratchets. Voices speaking late into the night.
  5. Now only dust settles where laughter once lived.
  6. Some garages become empty through time. Others through grief.
  7. A sold project. A departed friend. A chapter of life closed before the faithful were ready.
  8. The people said, “It is only a room.”
  9. But the faithful knew better.
  10. For garages hold more than machines. They hold memory itself.
  11. Every stain upon the floor tells a story.
  12. Every shelf carries fragments of another season of life.
  13. An old filter kept for no reason. A faded receipt. A socket missing since years long forgotten.
  14. The empty garage becomes a mirror. It asks questions the world outside avoids.
  15. Who were you when this place was alive? And who are you now?
  16. Some cannot bear to enter.
  17. Others sit quietly within it, listening to echoes only they can hear.
  18. Yet the wise understood something sacred: An empty garage is not proof that life is over. It is merely waiting.
  19. Waiting for another project. Another conversation. Another reason to turn the lights back on.
  20. For the spirit of the faithful does not disappear with absence. It lingers in the air like fuel vapour and memory.
  21. One day a roller door opens again. A toolbox moves. A new machine arrives uncertainly upon the concrete.
  22. And though the garage is changed forever, life returns in its own way.
  23. And so it was written: “Where passion once lived, hope may live again.”
  24. For no garage remains empty forever while there are still faithful hearts. Searching for somewhere to begin again.

There are pages still blank, stories not yet spoken, machines awaiting their moment in scripture. If there is a car, a maker, or a myth we have not yet written - speak it. And together, we shall write the next verse of the Gospel.
