The Book of Honda

  1. From the mountains of Japan came a maker with vision clear as glass.
  2. Its name was Honda, and its purpose was harmony.
  3. Where others pursued power, Honda sought purity.
  4. It was born not from wealth, but will. The dream of a single man who built engines like prayers.
  5. For Soichiro believed that motion was joy made real.
  6. The first creations were small and humble. Yet their hearts beat fiercely beneath the steel.
  7. Each engine sang of freedom. Each machine carried the hope of precision perfected.
  8. The people said, “It is light, yet lively – Modest, yet magnificent.”
  9. And the maker smiled, for the truth was in their hands.
  10. From this faith came the gospel of VTEC. The miracle of power.
  11. It was said that the engine slept until called upon. Then awoke in glory.
  12. The faithful learned its ways,
  13. Tuning and revving until the world itself seemed to sing.
  14. For the joy of motion was not measured in speed. But in connection between man and machine.
  15. The Civic became their chariot,
  16. The Integra their altar of precision.
  17. The S2000 their hymn to balance and beauty combined.
  18. Mechanics became monks of revs and ratios. Devoted to engines that breathed like living things.
  19. They worshipped not through wealth, but through understanding.
  20. On tracks and city streets they gathered. Bound by respect and sound.
  21. The faithful were many, yet humble – for the way of Honda was discipline through delight.
  22. Even as the world grew louder and heavier, Honda held to its truth – that joy lies in simplicity.
  23. It taught that greatness comes not from might, but from mastery of the smallest details.
  24. Generations passed, yet the creed endured.
  25. And so it was written: “Perfection is not power, but balance.”
  26. And the red badge shone bright against the rising sun.

There are pages still blank, stories not yet spoken, machines awaiting their moment in scripture. If there is a car, a maker, or a myth we have not yet written - speak it. And together, we shall write the next verse of the Gospel.
