- The people often say, “It is only a car.”
- But the faithful know better.
- For memory settles into objects the way dust settles upon workshop shelves — quietly, slowly, permanently.
- Some vehicles leave suddenly. Sold in desperation. Lost to accidents. Taken apart before their stories felt complete.
- Others depart more gently. A final wash. One last drive. A lingering glance in the mirror as they disappear down another road forever.
- The faithful said, “I was not ready.”
- Yet readiness rarely arrives before loss.
- Letting go is not limited to machines. Many carry old grief long past its season.
- Others cling to anger, regret, or the memory of who they once hoped to become.
- These burdens grow heavy over time.
- The wise learned that release is not betrayal.
- It is acknowledgement that life continues moving, even when the heart wishes to remain parked in the past.
- Some things are meant only for a chapter, not an entire journey.
- Still, letting go leaves silence behind. Empty driveways. Empty shelves. Empty spaces where familiar things once stood.
- Yet emptiness is not always loss alone.
- Sometimes it is room being prepared for what comes next.
- The faithful eventually understood that memory does not disappear simply because possession does.
